The Instytut Techniki Budowlanej (ITB), headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, has been a cornerstone of innovation and reliability in the construction sector for nearly 80 years. With a highly experienced team, state-of-the-art research methodologies, and advanced measurement equipment, ITB supports the development of construction both nationally and internationally.

ITB’s Role in ATRIUM
Within the ATRIUM project, ITB contributes its expertise to ensure that the innovative bio-based materials and products under development are safe, functional, and aligned with real construction requirements. Their tasks include:

Testing the characteristics of bio-composites according to end-user requirements and standards

Conducting preliminary and final prototype tests under technical and environmental conditions

Validating functional and safety performance of ATRIUM materials

Providing recommendations on technical aspects for bio-based materials and processes tailored to the construction sector

Supporting LCA and sustainability assessments

Engaging in communication and dissemination activities to raise awareness and create favorable conditions for the transition from a linear to a circular economy in Poland
