Ibercivis: Where Science Meets Society
The Ibercivis Foundation researches, promotes, and carries out citizen science in Spain and beyond. As a private non-profit foundation, Ibercivis is devoted to fostering public participation in science for research and educational purposes, playing a central role in the citizen science community at local, national, and international levels.
With extensive experience in the field, Ibercivis has participated in more than 100 hands-on citizen science experiments, involving 45 research groups and reaching over 80,000 citizen scientists across Europe. This expertise allows the foundation to design, plan, develop, and evaluate projects that bring science closer to society.
Ibercivis’ Role in ATRIUM
In ATRIUM, Ibercivis works hand in hand with technical partners to bridge innovation and society. Their activities focus on:
- Raising awareness of the project’s bio-based materials and products.
- Collecting data on societal perception and market readiness for their adoption.
- Gathering feedback to guide the design, features, and potential applications of ATRIUM’s materials.
Through stakeholder mapping and participatory activities, Ibercivis ensures that citizens and end-users are directly involved in shaping the sustainable materials of tomorrow.
