ATRIUM's third General Assembly (M15) in Belgium
On 23–24 September 2025, the ATRIUM consortium came together in Ghent, Belgium, hosted by our partner Centexbel, for our latest General Assembly. This two-day meeting was an important milestone, giving us the chance to review progress across all work packages, co-create future steps, and strengthen the bonds within our consortium.
Work Package Updates
The meeting started with updates from each Work Package leader, presenting achievements so far and the challenges ahead. These exchanges provided valuable insights into the progress made across ATRIUM’s bio-based value chains: from material testing to prototyping, setting the stage for the next phases of work.
Workshop 1: Dissemination, IPR & Business Planning
The first workshop focused on communication and exploitation:

How we share ATRIUM’s results with the outside world.

Protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

Planning the business potential of our innovations.
Partners engaged in dynamic discussions on how to maximize the impact of ATRIUM, ensuring that our research translates into real-world solutions.
Workshop 2: Co-Designing the Demonstrators
The second workshop focused on Defining Demonstrators using Co-Design. Together, we explored how ATRIUM’s bio-based materials can shape green walls, discussing both technical and design aspects. This session allowed partners to align on creative ideas while considering practical requirements for construction.
Tour of Centexbel Facilities
On the final day, Centexbel hosted us on a tour of their facilities, showcasing their cutting-edge work in polymers, textiles, and bio-based innovations. This visit deepened our understanding of the research backbone behind ATRIUM.
Networking in Ghent
Of course, no General Assembly is complete without time to relax together. On the evening of 23 September, we enjoyed a walking tour of Ghent, followed by a dinner in the heart of the city.
This was a fantastic opportunity to learn about Ghent’s history while strengthening the personal connections that make collaboration smoother and more rewarding. Thank you to CENTEXBEL for hosting us and organising everything!
