ATRIUM at the IX International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites
On 4 – 5 March 2026, ENCO represented the ATRIUM project at the IX International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites in Valencia, Spain. The event brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and research institutions to discuss the latest developments in sustainable bioplastics and biocomposites within the framework of the circular economy.
Over the years, the seminar has become an important reference point at both national and European levels for stakeholders working in the field of bio-based materials. It provides a platform for sharing knowledge, discussing current challenges, and exploring new opportunities for the development and commercialization of sustainable materials.
The discussions focused on how advanced technologies can support more competitive and sustainable industrial practices. Particular attention was given to the diversification of products and raw materials, with the aim of opening new market opportunities while reducing environmental impact. During the seminar, a project poster was presented to showcase ATRIUM’s work.
Events like the IX International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites demonstrate the growing importance of bio-based innovation in supporting the transition towards a circular economy.
The insights and exchanges generated during the seminar are crucial in further inspiring the work carried out within ATRIUM and in strengthening collaboration across the bio-based materials community.
