ATRIUM in MATCOMP 2025

From 8–10 July 2025, Barcelona hosted the XIII Congreso Nacional de Materiales Compuestos (MATCOMP 2025), the leading national event on high-performance and composite materials in Spain. Organized by the Spanish Association of Composite Materials (AEMAC), the congress brought together professionals from industry, academia, and research institutions to explore cutting-edge developments in the field.

ATRIUM’s Contribution: Large-Format Additive Manufacturing

Representing ATRIUM, Raquel Navarro took the stage to present our ongoing research on the development of sustainable materials for large-format additive manufacturing (3D printing). This line of work focuses on designing bio-based formulations that can be used in advanced manufacturing systems to produce large-scale parts with reduced environmental impact, a key objective of the ATRIUM project.

This approach aligns with our mission to transform the construction sector through circular, scalable, and low-impact material solutions. Additive manufacturing not only allows for complex and efficient design, but also minimizes waste and energy use, making it a promising technology for sustainable building applications.

We are grateful to AEMAC for providing a platform to showcase our work and engage with other experts in the composites community. Events like MATCOMP are crucial to fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation across sectors.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue #BuildingTomorrow with sustainable composite solutions.
