MOGU: Nature-Inspired Innovation for Interior Spaces
Founded in 2015 and based in Inarzo (Italy), MOGU is a material innovation company that uses fungal fermentation to create high-performance, sustainable products. Through collaboration with nature, MOGU transforms under-utilised resources and natural residues into innovative materials for a better future.

SQIM’s Role in ATRIUM
In the ATRIUM project, SQIM is responsible for the design and prototyping of:
- Mycelium-based sound-absorbing panels
- Bio-based resilient flooring tiles
Their contribution includes:
- Enhancing tile design with new binders, coatings, and natural fillers
- Improving the industrial processing efficiency for scaling up
- Developing larger panel dimensions, with new surface finishes and protective coatings
- Supporting ATRIUM’s goals of sustainable innovation in interior construction products
